Unzen(1759~1811)

Two Screen Doors. Birds and Flowers. Nanga School. Unzen studied under a Chinese painter in Nagasaki, so his paintings show the influence of Chinese style. Born at Shimabara in Hizen. Associated with many painters in Kyoto and Osaka. Later lived at Ni-igata in Echigo and became famous as a local painter. He was commissioned by many grand home owners in the Nagasaki area ,where this piece is from. Worm damage ,but in overall good condition. Grand Frame and silk matting.
